When a webstore customer sees a pending authorization sitting for over a week

(Or calls it by a similar pending charge - all bank statements use different language)

For a "card not present transactions" (web transactions) the processor (Nuvei) receives the authorization request.

Nuvei is the processor who asks permission from a person's bank/credit line on behalf of ASB Works webstore.

The "Issuer" is the bank of the customer trying to purchase online.

Example Scenario :

I have Wells Fargo as my personal bank.

I try to use my credit card on a Webstore for one of the schools.

Nuvei - the processor (middle man) is asking Wells Fargo on behalf of the ASB Works School Account if. there is money available to make this purchase - Do I really have $30.00 available to spend out of my account or credit line?

Because Wells Fargo is the one granting this request they can hold the funds for that authorization request for up to 30 days.

Wells Fargo can choose to drop it after 7 days, but they also have that ability to hold it until it expires which is 30 days.

Specifically about any one customer seeing a pending charge on their own banking statement/portal - they will need to address it with her personal bank for the length of that pending hold on the account.
