The NSF Check Module simplifies the process of recording Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) checks. It allows you to account for checks that were previously receipted and deposited, even if the specific check details were not recorded at the time of the original transaction.

To locate a check:

  1. Enter the check number, the name on the check, or a portion of the name.
  2. Click Search.

The system will display the following details:

  • Bank account
  • Receipt number
  • Deposit date
  • Student associated with the check
  • Check number
  • Name on the check
  • Check amount

Highlight the check and click Select to continue.

NSF to an Account:

The funds will be withdrawn from the account, and an entry will be added to the Bank Reconciliation screen. You can verify this in the Account Statement report.

NSF Reversal:

The funds will be withdrawn from the account, and the corresponding amount will be posted as a debt under 'Unpaid Items' on the student’s account.

Adding a Fine to Assign Debt to the Student:

Bank charges (if any) and the total fine will be added to the student's account under Unpaid Items.
