Status Tags


Status tags allow you to create a tag, assign it to specific items, and upload a list of students who should be associated with that status tag. When applied, the status tag will restrict the purchase of items for the tagged students.


Steps to Create a Status Tag:

  1. Create the status tag in Admin->Tag Admin, or directly from the Status section under 

Admin->Individuals.


Status Tag Configuration Details

  • Type: Status

  • Display Text:

    • Can include numbers or letters

    • Uppercase and lowercase letters are acceptable

  • Description: This is the message that students/parents will see on the webstore explaining why they cannot purchase the item

  • Display When: No boxes should be checked

  • Assigned Range: Select “This Fiscal Year” to apply the tag to students for the current fiscal year





1. Prepare the File for Import

Create an excel file that includes the following columns:

  • Student ID

  • Last Name

  • First Name

Save the file as a .CSV (Comma Delimited) format.


 

2. Import the Status Tag File

  1. Navigate to Admin.

  2. Go to Individuals.

  3. Click on the Statuses tab.

  4. Select the status tag you previously created.

  5. Click the Choose File button

  6. Choose your prepared .CSV file.

  7. Click Begin Import to upload the list.





You may also add the students manually from the Statuses tab



 

3. Apply the Limiter to an Item

Once the file is uploaded, the tagged students will appear under the selected status tag.

To apply this limiter to an item:

  1. Go to Admin.

  2. Click on Item Admin.

  3. Find your Item.

  4. Navigate to the Sales Info tab.

  5. Click on Sales Limiters.

  6. Select the appropriate Status Type:

    • Restricted – only students without the tag can purchase.

    • Required – only students with the tag can purchase.

  7. Click OK to exit the limiter screen.

  8. Click Change Product to apply your changes.

 

 

 

This is the message that appears when the Restricted status type is used.
